Delete your Looqee data

This page explains how users of the Looqee mobile app can permanently delete their account and associated data.

How to request deletion in the app

1. Open the Looqee app on your device.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Tap Remove account.
4. Type your nickname exactly to confirm, then confirm deletion.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You may need an internet connection so the request can reach our servers.

What data is deleted

When you remove your account, Looqee deletes from our servers:

• Your profile (including nickname and related profile details)
• Personal messages and conversation data tied to your account
• Favourites and block/exclusion lists
• Location and nearby-discovery data associated with your account
• Push notification tokens and authentication/session data for that account

What may be kept

• Limited technical or security logs that are not used to identify you may be retained for a short period for abuse prevention and operational reliability, then discarded under normal log rotation.
• Data already removed from another user’s device (for example a message they previously received) may no longer be available for deletion on that device; our server-side copy tied to your account is removed with your account.

Automatic deletion for inactive accounts

If you stop using Looqee, inactive account data may also be removed automatically after 180 days of inactivity. Using Remove account in the app deletes your data right away and does not require waiting for that period.
