Looqee Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Looqee (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Looqee mobile application and related services.

Who we are

Looqee is a location-based social app that helps people discover nearby conversations and connect with others. The app is operated by Ludo Soft Studios.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Looqee, we may collect:

  • Location. Approximate and precise location (reduced in precision before upload) to power nearby discovery and location-based features. Location may also be inferred by advertising partners from IP address.
  • Profile information. Nickname, avatar (emoji), bio, and interests you choose to provide.
  • Messages and other content. In-app messages and other content you create or send in Looqee.
  • Device and app identifiers. A random device identifier we generate for your install, push notification tokens (for example Firebase Cloud Messaging), operating system, and app version. Advertising partners may also collect advertising or device identifiers.
  • Technical and diagnostic data. Limited information needed to operate the service and display ads (for example diagnostics collected by our advertising SDK).

We do not require your email address or phone number to create a Looqee account. Accounts are based on a device identifier generated on your device.

How we use information

  • Provide core app features (nearby discovery, conversations, profiles)
  • Create and manage your device-based account and sessions
  • Send push notifications related to app features (for example nearby activity), when you allow notifications
  • Show ads and measure ad performance through Google AdMob
  • Protect the service (security, abuse prevention, and reliability)

How we share information

We share information with:

  • Other Looqee users, when you use features that make information visible to them (for example nickname, avatar, bio, interests, relative proximity, and messages you send).
  • Service providers that help us operate Looqee, including hosting and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Google, for Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery) and Google AdMob (advertising). Those services may collect device or advertising identifiers and related technical data under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the service.

Ads

Looqee uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to deliver and measure ads. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and manage advertising preferences in your device settings where available.

Data retention

We keep account and related data while your account is active. Inactive account data may be removed automatically after 180 days of inactivity. Limited technical logs may be retained for a shorter period for security and operations, then discarded under normal log rotation.

Your choices and data deletion

You can control location and notification permissions in your device settings. You can permanently delete your Looqee account and associated server data in the app:

  1. Open Looqee
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Tap Remove account
  4. Confirm by typing your nickname

Children

Looqee is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard protections in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and additional safeguards for certain stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International processing

Your information may be processed on servers in countries other than where you live, including by our service providers and partners such as Google.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.

For questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us using the developer contact details shown on the Looqee store listing (Google Play or Apple App Store). Account deletion is handled in the app via Profile → Remove account; because accounts are device-based and not tied to email login, we cannot verify and delete an account through an off-device request alone.
